The Leona Heights Sulfur Mine site is an approximately two-acre abandoned mining site that was formerly operated as a sulfur mine from about 1900 to 1929.  The site contains mine-tailing wastes. IPA assisted Dr. Mbanugo in actively working with the Environmental Protection Agency and Water Quality Board to remediate and fully close the mine.
